Background
I view myself as a multi-cultural person. Even though I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, I learned and absorbed a lot about Japanese culture from my dad who spent four years in Japan for his master's degree. The exposure to Japanese culture since young age leads me to have an interest in Japanese and start learning it when I was in high school. Understanding Japanese and its culture broadens my world view and make me learn to be acceptable toward differences in people and cherish diversity. In 2012, I decided to challenge myself by spending my last year of a high school as an exchange student in Kansas and continued my college education at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. My passion for baking gradually revealed itself as I learned how to cook/ bake from my host mother. I started to bake more for friends and family during college and came to be realized that I really enjoy doing it. The background in Japanese culture, experiences of being abroad, and the passion in baking are three main parts that clearly reflect my perspective, belief, and future career goal.
